Connecting the Honeywell Smoke Detector to Mi Home App
Before we begin please note that the following steps are entirely optional. Your Honeywell smoke detectors are able to function by itself without any additional set up. In the event of smoke, the smoke detector will blast a fire alarm using its in-built speakers. The following steps are to set up the Honeywell smoke detectors on your Mi Home App so that you can carry out automation tasks such as getting phone notifications or turning your Yeelight bulbs red in the event of smoke to give warning light signals.
Now let’s get to it. Setting Up the Honey Smoke Detectors and is Alarm is really easy and straightforward. Before you begin please ensure you have set up your Xiaomi Multifunctional Gateway to work with your Mi Home App. If you haven’t simply click on this link to get the step by step instructions.
Step 1: On the Mi Home app home screen. Click on the “+”

Step 2: Once you see this screen. Click on the “+” to add manually.

Step 3: Now scroll down the list of smart devices to select Smoke Alarm.

Step 4: Once you see this screen and the time starts counting down for 30 seconds. Quickly press the front button on your Honeywell Smoke Detector three consecutive times in quick succession.

Step 5: You will hear some Chinese words being mentioned on the Xiaomi Multifunctional Gateway. It translates to connection successful. You will now select the location of where you are intending to place the smoke detector. After which click on “next”.

Step 6: The only step left is to assign a device name and you are done.

Hi, why there’s no smoke detector alarm in the list. I already install the control hub but I still don’t see the smoke detector.
