The Aqara LED Strip T1 Extension 1 m (model RLSE-K01D) adds one metre to an Aqara LED Strip T1. It is the same 24 V RGB and tunable-white strip as the base kit, without a controller or power adapter, and clips onto the end of the existing run; up to eight extensions take a single strip to Aqara’s 10 m maximum. How the extension works

The LED Strip T1 is a 24 V DC system: the controller and adapter in the base kit power the strip, and each extension simply continues the circuit. Aqara’s FAQ sets the limit at 10 m per base strip — the 2 m base plus up to 8 m of extension. After you connect an extension, open the strip in Aqara Home and set the Actual Length under Function Setting; until you do, the added section stays dark.

RGBIC segment effects continue across the extension in RGB mode; in tunable-white mode the whole run, extension included, lights as one white light. There is no separate pairing — the extension is not a Zigbee device, it is more strip on the same controller.

Measure, then cut once

Measure the run and buy whole metres; trim the last extension at a 20 cm mark with the power off. Aqara notes the cut-off piece cannot be reused, so cut at the end of the run, not the middle. Keep the connectors dry and indoors — the strip is IP44 but the controller and adapter are not weatherproof.

Does the extension work on its own?

No. It has no controller, adapter or Zigbee radio. It only works attached to an Aqara LED Strip T1 base kit.

How many extensions can I add?

Why is the new section not lighting up?

Set the Actual Length of the strip in Aqara Home under Function Setting and save. The extended section then works normally.
