The U300 has a USB-C emergency power port on the side of the outer panel, rated for 5 V emergency power input . If you ignore the low-battery alerts long enough that the batteries fully drain while you’re outside, you have two recovery paths:

Make sure your finger is dry and clean before trying to unlock. Since fingerprints may change over time, please re-register periodically. For children and the elderly, please update fingerprints regularly or register multiple fingers. The fingerprint module unlocks after recognising, comparing, and verifying the collected fingerprints — elderly people with severely worn fingerprints and children with shallow or incomplete fingerprints may have reduced success rates with fingerprint unlocking. What happens if I am locked out after multiple authentication failures?
After 10 incorrect password entries, the lock will disable password input for 30 minutes. Is the U300 limited to specific door-opening directions?
There are no restrictions. The Aqara Smart Door Lock U300 supports all door opening directions, including left/right and inward/outward. The handle direction can be changed in the field by removing the internal screws, rotating the handle 180°, and tightening the screws.
Is the U300 waterproof and can it be used outdoors?
The external front panel (keyboard area) of the Aqara Smart Door Lock U300 has a waterproof rating of IPX4, which effectively protects against light daily water splashes, therefore it is not recommended for use in outdoor spaces. For Singapore deployment, indoor doors, helper-room or store-room doors, and sheltered exterior doors (under a covered porch, recessed entryway, or balcony cover) are fine — avoid direct rain exposure on the outer panel.
What is the operating temperature and humidity for the U300?
External panel operating temperature: −30 °C to 55 °C. Internal panel operating temperature: −10 °C to 55 °C. Internal panel operating humidity: 0 to 93% RH. Singapore’s typical 24–32 °C indoor range is comfortably within the U300’s normal operating window.
How is the U300 powered?
The U300 is powered by 4 LR6 AA batteries. In emergency situations, you can use the USB-C charging port on the side of the external panel to power the device using an external 5 V power source (any standard USB-C power bank).
How long does the battery last?
The average battery life is 10 months, but this will vary depending on different working environments and conditions. Battery performance decreases in low-temperature environments. Battery life was determined by Aqara laboratories using LR6 AA batteries and simulating 10 wake-ups per day at 25 °C. Singapore’s stable indoor temperature range means battery life shouldn’t be materially affected by SG indoor climate.
What should I do if the U300 runs out of power?
1) If you are outside, you can power the lock through the emergency USB-C charging port on the outer panel using any standard USB-C power bank (5 V) — the lock powers up enough to unlock via fingerprint, password, NFC, Apple Home Keys, or the Aqara Home app. 2) If you are inside, simply replace the 4 LR6 AA batteries. The included mechanical key is your guaranteed offline fallback in either scenario.
Can the U300 be unlocked by a Tesla coil?
No. The Aqara Smart Door Lock U300 is carefully designed to effectively resist electromagnetic interference and has undergone rigorous electromagnetic compatibility testing. Tesla coils will not affect the normal operation of the Aqara smart lock.
How many ways can I unlock the U300?
