U200 Kit vs U200 Lite Kit — which should I get?

Door compatibility — BOTH models need this

Regardless of which U200 you pick, the door’s existing cylinder must have an Emergency Function — a Euro-cylinder safety feature that lets the outside key still operate even when an inside thumb-turn is engaged. Aqara explicitly states the U200 family is “specifically designed for compatibility with cylinders that offer this capability.”

• Condo unit doors with Euro-cylinder locks: typically a fit for both U200 + U200 Lite (most common SG use case)

Seven unlocking methods on the U200 Kit

Fingerprint (via keypad)

The U200 keypad has a built-in fingerprint sensor. Enrolment via the Aqara Home app over Bluetooth, or locally on the keypad after pressing the Confirm button + entering the admin password. Aqara markets fingerprint-module encryption binding with AES — re-register fingerprints regularly for children and elderly users whose fingerprints change over time.

Installation — what to expect

Your existing cylinder remains in the door; the original key still operates from the outside as a mechanical fallback.
