Description
The RG-EG406XS-P collapses two boxes into one. It is the same multi-gigabit Reyee gateway as the RG-EG406XS — five 2.5G ports, a 10G SFP+ cage, 400 clients, the full VPN set — with four PoE/PoE+ output ports and a 110 W budget built in.
For a typical Singapore install that means no separate PoE switch: four wall-plate access points plug straight into the gateway and draw their power from it, at up to 30 W each.

A complete small network
The neat version of a Reyee install looks like this: the RG-EG406XS-P at the fibre terminal, four RG-RAP62-Wall or RG-RAP72-Wall access points cabled back to it and powered by it, and nothing else. If you need more than four powered devices, add an RG-ES209MG-P downstream.
Cloud management
Every device on this page is managed from the same place. Ruijie Cloud and the Ruijie Reyee App give you one dashboard for the router, the switches and every access point — add a device by scanning it, push firmware remotely, and see which client is eating your bandwidth. Ruijie states that basic Ruijie Cloud management is free for the lifetime of the product, with no per-device subscription.
Frequently asked questions
How many access points can it power?
Four, on the four PoE ports, sharing a 110 W budget with a 30 W ceiling per port. Reyee wall access points draw between 11 W and 15 W each, so four of them sit well inside the budget.
Which ports supply PoE?
LAN0, LAN1/WAN3, LAN2/WAN2 and LAN3/WAN1. The dedicated WAN0 port does not supply PoE, which makes sense — that is the port facing your broadband terminal.
Does it support 802.3bt for high-power devices?
No. Ruijie specifies IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at (PoE and PoE+) only, with a 30 W per-port maximum. A device needing 802.3bt — some PTZ cameras and large displays — will need its own injector.
Can it be rack mounted like the plain RG-EG406XS?
Ruijie lists desk mounting only for the -P version, and the package contents do not include rack brackets. The non-PoE RG-EG406XS is the one that ships with brackets for a 1U rack position.
Do I still need a separate wireless controller?
No. It manages up to 200 Reyee AP and NBS-series devices in router mode, or 750 in AC mode, plus 128 ES-series switches, from the same Ruijie Cloud account.
