Ruijie Reyee RG-RAP72 BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 Ceiling-Mount Access Point

Description

The RG-RAP72 is the ceiling-mount counterpart to the Reyee Wi-Fi 7 wall plates — the same BE3600 dual-band radio, in a slim Ø195 mm circular unit that sits on the ceiling and covers the room from above. Where the wall models put a small cell in each bedroom, this is the one you put over the living and dining space, an office floor, a shop or a café, and let it carry the whole open area.

Ruijie rates it at 140 m² of coverage — two and a half times the wall models — with three 5 GHz antennas, a 2.5 Gigabit uplink, and the same free Ruijie Cloud management as every other Reyee device on this site.

Why this one

• Wi-Fi 7 with MLO and 4K-QAM — 3570 Mbps across two bands (2882 Mbps on 5 GHz, 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz), 4 spatial streams, 160 MHz channels.

Powering it

Two options, and the datasheet notes the DC input takes priority if both are connected. The clean way is PoE — an 802.3af port is enough, since this AP draws at most 14 W and passes no PoE onwards. A RG-ES206MG-P or RG-ES209MG-P powers it over the same cable that carries the data. There is also a 12 V DC barrel input for installs without PoE, but no adapter ships in the box — tell us if you need one and we will include it in the quote.

Ceiling or wall plate?

Same Wi-Fi 7 radio, different job. The RG-RAP72-Wall sits in a junction box, covers about 55 m² and gives you four wired LAN ports plus PoE Out at the wall — one per bedroom. The ceiling RG-RAP72 covers 140 m² from above with a single 2.5G uplink and no extra ports — one over the whole open area. Most full-home installs mix the two: wall plates in the rooms, a ceiling unit over the living space. Our install packages offer exactly that as the wall-to-ceiling AP upgrade.
