Description
The Yeelight M2 Bluetooth Mesh LED Downlight is a recessed 5 W downlight for false ceilings, dropping into a 70 to 80 mm cut-out. It delivers tunable white from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, with smooth dimming from 5 to 100 percent. The 70 degree beam gives a wide, even wash for living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens.
Requires the Yeelight Mesh Gateway for smart control
This is the key thing to know before you buy. The M2 Downlight is a Bluetooth-mesh fixture, not a standalone smart bulb. On its own it has no app, no schedules, no voice control — it behaves like a regular dimmable downlight on your wall switch. To unlock smart capability you must pair it with the Yeelight Bluetooth Mesh Gateway, which bridges the mesh lights to your home network. We recommend buying the gateway alongside this downlight. One gateway supports up to 100 Yeelight M2 mesh units.
App, scenes and smart-home integration
Once on the gateway, the Yeelight app sets schedules, builds scenes and controls multiple lights together. Smart-home integration is delivered through the gateway, which works with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings. These features depend on the gateway; without it, none are available.
Light quality and build
The M2 Downlight runs at 5 W and produces 350 lumens, with Ra80 colour rendering and a low Unified Glare Rating of 10. The fixture stands 73.5 mm tall and recesses into a 70 to 80 mm opening, running from 220–240 VAC mains.

It recesses into a standard 70 to 80 mm cut-out and wires to mains power. Pair it with the Yeelight Mesh Gateway during setup. Every unit is covered by a 24-month local Singapore warranty.
