Description
The Yeelight Mercury E Sensor Ceiling Light (C260) is a standalone ceiling fixture with a built-in human-presence radar and an ambient-light sensor. It switches itself on when it detects someone in a dimly lit area and off again a short while after the room is empty, so the light is hands-free in places where reaching for a switch is awkward — hallways, store rooms, walk-in closets, bathrooms, kitchens and covered outdoor corridors.
Automatic presence sensing
A dual sensor system drives the light. The human-presence radar detects movement, while the ambient-light sensor checks whether the room is already bright enough. When you enter a dim space the light turns on; when you leave, it turns off automatically. Because it only runs when needed, it delivers up to around 30 percent energy saving compared with leaving a fixture switched on.
Light quality and build
The Mercury E emits a soft 4000K natural white light at 800 lumens, bright enough for everyday tasks while staying gentle on the eyes. The fixture measures φ260 mm in diameter and 58 mm deep, and carries an IP44 rating with bug and dust proof seals plus a moisture-resistant coating, so it suits both indoors and sheltered or covered outdoor areas such as covered porches and corridors.
Controls and connections
This is a non-smart fixture. There is no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth, no app and no voice-assistant control. All of the intelligence is on board: the presence radar and ambient-light sensor handle the automatic on and off behaviour locally, with no hub, account or network setup required.
