Is PassionHome.sg an authorised Yeelight dealer in Singapore?
Yes — we are authorised for both the Yeelight consumer range and the Yeelight Pro commercial range. Every unit ships through Yeelight’s authorised SG supply chain. Consumer products carry a 24-month warranty at the Official Yeelight Service Centre in Singapore; Yeelight Pro carries a 36-month warranty. Both are handled locally — no sending units abroad.
Do you sell the Global or the China version of Yeelight?
The Global / international version, with SG-appropriate firmware. Our units pair with the Xiaomi Home app (not the Chinese Mi Home build), with Matter, Apple HomeKit, Google Home and Alexa bridging on newer SKUs. Grey-market China-region units may run on SG mains but are locked to the Chinese app ecosystem and miss international firmware updates.
What is the difference between Yeelight and Yeelight Pro?
Yeelight (consumer) is plug-and-play smart lighting for homes — bulbs, LED strips, ceiling lights, monitor light bars — paired with the Xiaomi Home app and installed without rewiring. Yeelight Pro is premium wired lighting for renovations and commercial projects — wired smart switches, track lights and architectural drivers — installed by your contractor or electrician.
Does Yeelight work with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa and Matter?
Yes on all four, on newer SKUs. Most current Yeelight bulbs, strips and ceiling lights support Matter over Wi-Fi, which bridges to Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings. Older models (pre-2022) work via the Xiaomi Home app rather than Matter. Send us a SKU and we will confirm whether it is Matter-ready.
Do I need the Xiaomi Home app, or does Yeelight have its own app?
For current Yeelight consumer products in Singapore, the Xiaomi Home app is the main pairing route — it covers Yeelight plus other Mi ecosystem gear in one dashboard. On Matter-ready SKUs you can skip Xiaomi Home and pair directly with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or any Matter controller. Yeelight Pro runs on its own dedicated app and ecosystem.
How does the estate group-buy work for Yeelight?
One estate rep collects interest from neighbours; we send a Yeelight bundle sheet with group-buy pricing (typically 15–25% off retail, often sharper on bundles); orders are collected over a 2–3 week window, then delivered to the estate in a single coordinated slot. A common BTO bundle: a bulb per downlight, a strip per TV wall, a ceiling light per bedroom.
Do you handle installation and app setup for Yeelight?
Yeelight consumer products are designed for DIY — screw in a bulb, peel-and-stick a strip, plug in a bar; no electrician needed. For app setup (scenes, automations, HomeKit/Matter bridging) we recommend DIY via Xiaomi Home, but we can do it as a paid, scoped service if you prefer. Yeelight Pro wired products are installed by your contractor during renovation.
Can I mix Yeelight with my existing Aqara setup?
Yes — a very common Singapore setup. Pair Yeelight bulbs, strips and lamps via Matter or Xiaomi Home, and let an Aqara hub handle sensors, locks and automations via Apple HomeKit or Matter. Both ecosystems converge at Matter, so an Aqara motion sensor can trigger a Yeelight scene without either brand’s app in the middle.
