The Aqara Surface-Mounted Spotlight T1 (sold here as the T1 Smart Surface Mounted Downlight / Spotlight) is a cylindrical Zigbee 3.0 spotlight that screws straight onto a concrete or plastered ceiling — no false ceiling, no cut-out. It is a 10 W tunable-white light, 2700K to 6000K, Ra90, with a deep anti-glare cup, in black or white and in 24°, 36° or 60° beams. It works with Aqara Home and Apple Home through an Aqara hub. Three-dimensional light for a flat ceiling

Aqara positions the T1 as a stylish look even without false ceilings: a row of small cylinders along a corridor or across a living-room ceiling, each throwing a defined beam that picks out texture on a wall or a piece of art. Because the light is directional rather than a flat panel, a room lit this way reads as layered — bright where you want it, softer elsewhere — which is the effect renovation designers usually reach for with recessed spots.

Aqara’s feature sheet lists Ra90 colour rendering, the deep anti-glare cup, and 2700K to 6000K stepless colour temperature. Aqara Home and Apple Home

The T1 is a Zigbee 3.0 light and needs an Aqara hub. Through the hub it appears in Aqara Home and Apple Home, where it can be dimmed, tuned and grouped like any other Aqara light and added to scenes. The Singapore distributor lists Aqara Home and Apple HomeKit as the platforms for this fitting, so treat those as the supported ecosystems. Installing the Surface-Mounted Spotlight T1 in a Singapore home

Mounting and wiring

The fitting screws to the ceiling surface over the existing light point and is wired to 220–240 V mains — the distributor rates it 50/60 Hz at 0.05 A with a 0.5 power factor. It is IP20, so it belongs in dry indoor areas: living rooms, bedrooms, corridors, studies. Because it is mains-wired, use a licensed electrician; the distributor describes it as a professional-installation product. Where several spots share one circuit, the electrician can run them from a single switch point and let the hub handle individual control.

Which hub do I need?

Any Aqara Zigbee hub: the Smart Hub M100 for a smaller flat, the Hub M2 if you also want IR control of the aircon, or the Hub M3 as the flagship.
