The Aqara Valve Controller T1 is a battery-powered smart actuator that clamps over your existing manual water valve and turns it open or closed for you — no plumbing, no pipe-cutting, no electrician. Pair it with Aqara water leak sensors and it will shut the water off automatically the moment a leak is detected, even when you are away. Control it manually, from the app, on a timer or by automation. It runs on 4 AA batteries for up to 2 years and connects through an Aqara Zigbee hub.

Automatic water shut-off when a leak is detected
The headline use is protection. Add one or more Aqara Water Leak Sensors under the sink, behind the washing machine or by the water heater, and create an automation: when a sensor detects water, the Valve Controller T1 closes the supply valve automatically. It works whether you are home or away, so a burst hose or a leaking connector does not become a flooded floor. You can also schedule the valve — for example, automated daily garden or plant watering — or open and close it remotely from your phone.
Fits your existing valve — no pipe work
The Valve Controller T1 is a complete retrofit device: it mounts over a manual valve and physically turns the handle. It fits lever and butterfly handles on DN15, DN20 and DN25 (1/2″, 3/4″, 1″) pipes, delivers up to 3.6 N·m of torque, and opens or closes the valve in 5–20 seconds. An accessory mounting kit is included. Check that your valve has a compatible lever or butterfly handle and matches one of the supported pipe sizes before ordering.
Requires an Aqara hub
The Valve Controller T1 is a Zigbee device, so it needs a compatible Aqara Zigbee hub to work (the Camera Hub G2H Pro is not supported). Through the hub it joins Aqara Home and can be exposed to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant via Matter. If you do not have a hub yet, the Aqara Hub M100 ($89) or Hub M200 ($149) are good starting points; see the M2 and M3 for other tiers.
