UWB (Ultra-Wideband) is the same precision-ranging tech Apple uses for AirTag Precision Finding — and the U400 puts it inside a smart lock. With Express Mode enabled in Apple Wallet and the lock paired to your Apple Home, the U400 senses your iPhone or Apple Watch approaching from outside the door (not from inside the house) and unlocks at centimetre-level accuracy.
