Why buy the Aqara G350 Camera Hub in Singapore
- World’s first Matter-certified camera. The Matter Camera profile (Matter 1.5) is currently exposed on Samsung SmartThings with live audio/video streaming, two-way voice, and video screenshots. Apple Home (via HomeKit Secure Video, capped at 1080p per Apple’s HKSV restriction), Google Home, and Amazon Alexa each integrate the G350 via their own native pipelines for basic capabilities; advanced features and pan-tilt live in the Aqara app.
- Dual-lens 4K plus 2.5K telephoto with 9× hybrid zoom. A 133° wide-angle 4K lens (3840 × 2160, f/1.6, 2.8 mm) covers the room; an 8 mm 2.5K telephoto lens (2560 × 1440, f/1.6) handles distant subjects. Zoom is lossless at 1× and 3× lens hand-off; digital cropping and AI enhancement extends to 9×.
- Built-in Zigbee 3.0 hub + Thread Border Router — no separate Aqara hub required. Aqara sensors, locks, switches, and curtain controllers pair to the G350 the same way they would to an Aqara Hub M3 or Aqara Hub M200. The G350 also acts as a Matter Bridge — your Aqara Zigbee children surface in Matter ecosystems through it.
- Local AI detection — privacy-first. Person, face, and smile recognition; pet (cats and dogs); gesture (static like OK, dynamic like waving); lens-obstruction; and 6 named sound types (baby crying, dog barking, coughing, snoring, loud noises, alarm sounds) all run on-device via the G350’s built-in AI chip. No cloud upload required, no paid subscription.
- True Privacy Mode — physical shutdown when off. Every time the camera is turned off, the G350 extends physical shutdown for full visual privacy.
- Authorised Aqara Dealer + 24-month warranty serviced in Singapore. PassionHome.sg is on Aqara’s official Singapore partner network; warranty service is at the Aqara Service Center at Tai Seng — no overseas RMA. Estate group-buy pricing available — see active group-buys.
Dual-lens 4K + 2.5K telephoto camera system
The G350 uses two physical lenses with clearly defined roles. The wide-angle lens captures 4K resolution (3840 × 2160) at a 133° diagonal field of view, 2.8 mm focal length, and f/1.6 aperture — designed to take in the whole scene for everyday monitoring of large rooms. The telephoto lens captures 2.5K resolution (2560 × 1440) at a 43° diagonal FoV, 8 mm focal length, and the same f/1.6 aperture — designed to capture fine details. When you zoom in within the Aqara app beyond 3×, or enable Close-Up Tracking, the system automatically switches to the telephoto lens to keep distant subjects sharp.

9× hybrid zoom — lossless at 1× and 3×
At 1× (wide-angle) and 3× (telephoto native magnification), the image quality is lossless. Between 1×–3× and 3×–9×, digital cropping and AI enhancement using the high-pixel sensors extends the zoom range. The higher the magnification, the slightly more noise — but the dual-lens hand-off design keeps detail recognisable at distances of 5–10 metres, where the telephoto lens identifies faces clearly.
Close-Up Tracking — auto-zoom on subjects
With Close-Up Tracking enabled, the camera automatically zooms in on a detected target — focusing on the full body, upper body, or face — to keep the subject in close view. Useful for clearly seeing facial details, confirming identity, or capturing close-up details of pets. With Close-Up Tracking off, the camera tracks the target by rotating the pan-tilt mechanism only, preserving more surrounding environmental context.
360° pan + tilt + 30 preset angles
The G350’s pan-tilt mechanism delivers 360° horizontal awareness — the camera glides smoothly around the room without blind spots. With Smart Tracking enabled, the camera automatically follows people, pets, or detected motion across the room. You can also save up to 30 preset angles per camera: pre-aim at specific areas (entryway, balcony, kitchen counter) and snap to that angle in one tap from the Aqara app.
Panoramic preset and pan-tilt calibration
Generate a panorama by tapping “Generate Panorama” in the Aqara app — the camera rotates a full circle to capture a stitched image. Tap any location on the panorama to make the camera turn directly to that point. If the pan-tilt drifts over time, run “Pan-tilt Calibration” from the settings — the device automatically resets and corrects the deviation.
Local AI detection — privacy-first
The G350’s built-in AI chip runs detections locally on-device — Edge AI, no cloud upload required, no paid subscription, faster response and better privacy.
Human, face, and smile recognition
Quickly recognises people in the frame. Face detection identifies specific people you’ve added to your library; smile detection can trigger snap-shots and automations.
Pet (cats and dogs) detection
Recognises pets — useful for pet-tracking automations or filtering pet movement out of human-only motion alerts.
Gesture recognition — static and dynamic
Static gestures (like “OK”) and dynamic gestures (like waving) trigger automations from across the room. Maintain proper distance, ensure your full body is visible within the frame, and face the camera as much as possible for reliable detection.
Lens obstruction detection
Detects when the lens is externally obstructed — useful for alerting if someone or something covers the camera.
Sound detection — six named categories
Recognises six sound types: baby crying, dog barking, coughing, snoring, loud noises, and alarm sounds. Useful for baby monitoring, intrusion alerts, or smoke-detector-style alarm capture. Note: sound AI relies on audio features and decibel thresholds — environmental noise (TV, fan) will reduce accuracy, and low-frequency sounds like snoring detect best within 4 m of the camera.
All detections complete locally; notifications still need internet
Although AI processing happens on-device, pushing detection alerts to your phone still requires an internet connection.
Smart home connectivity — Matter, HomeKit, Wi-Fi 6
The G350 connects over Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-band, with WPA3 security. It pairs to the Aqara Home app for full feature access, then exposes its functionality across third-party ecosystems with platform-specific caveats.

World’s first Matter-Certified Camera (Matter 1.5)
The G350 is the first Aqara camera — and per Aqara, the world’s first camera — to support the Matter 1.5 Matter Camera profile. The Matter Camera spec is currently exposed on Samsung SmartThings with supported features: live audio/video streaming, two-way voice intercom, and video screenshots. Features not yet supported via Matter on any platform: pan-tilt control and other advanced functions. As Matter platforms add capability, more features will roll out across ecosystems.
Apple HomeKit + HomeKit Secure Video
The G350 supports HomeKit Secure Video (HKSV) — motion events and recordings are end-to-end encrypted on Apple’s servers, viewable from the Home app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. Pair via the HomeKit QR code on the device body. Apple’s HKSV restriction caps the in-Apple-Home resolution at 1080p (this applies to all HKSV cameras, not a G350 hardware limit); pan-tilt control and some AI features (like cry detection) are not exposed in Apple Home — they live in the Aqara app. HKSV requires an iCloud+ plan plus an Apple Home hub (HomePod, HomePod mini, or Apple TV) on your network. HKSV recordings don’t count against your iCloud storage quota for 50 GB plans or higher.
Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings
All three integrate natively. Third-party ecosystems usually support basic capabilities only (live video feed, on/off). Advanced AI, pan-tilt control, and presets need to be used in the Aqara app. Samsung SmartThings additionally exposes the Matter Camera profile (see above).
Home Assistant via RTSP
Home Assistant integration is RTSP streaming only — the G350 exposes a local RTSP video stream that Home Assistant can ingest.
Wi-Fi 6 — dual-band 2.4 / 5 GHz with WPA3
The G350 supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, with WPA3 encryption. Use 2.4 GHz for stronger wall penetration and longer range; use 5 GHz when the camera is close to the router and you want higher speeds. WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode is recommended for compatibility with older devices on your network. On some older routers, enabling Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) may cause issues — disable TWT (Target Wake Time) in router settings, or temporarily switch the router to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) mode for testing.
Built-in Zigbee + Thread hub — replaces a separate Aqara hub
The G350 is a powerful Aqara Zigbee hub plus Matter Controller and Matter Bridge in one device. Aqara child devices pair directly to the G350 without a separate hub purchase.
Pairs Aqara Zigbee devices directly
Aqara sensors (FP-series presence sensors, T1 climate sensors, door/window sensors), smart locks (U-series), switches (H-series), curtain controllers, and Aqara ceiling lights pair over Zigbee directly to the G350. The G350 manages them the same way an Aqara Hub M3 or Aqara Hub M200 would.
Thread Border Router
Matter-over-Thread accessories from any brand can join your home network through the G350’s built-in Thread Border Router — no separate Apple TV, HomePod mini, or other Thread Border Router required.
Matter Bridge — exposes Aqara devices to other ecosystems
The G350 exposes its connected Aqara Zigbee children to Matter-compatible ecosystems via Matter Bridge. Pair an Aqara sensor or switch to the G350; that device then appears in Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, or SmartThings via the G350’s Matter Bridge.
Caveat: local automations during outages
If there’s a power outage or network disconnection, cross-device local automations may be affected — depending on the protocol type. Devices on local Zigbee or Thread continue working; Wi-Fi-only devices need the network back.
True Privacy Mode
Every time the camera is turned off, the G350 extends physical shutdown for full visual privacy — “When you sleep, it sleeps with you,” per Aqara. The G350 is designed so that the physical-shutdown state when off is a guarantee, not a software toggle.
Audio — two-way intercom
The G350 features full-duplex two-way audio: clear dialogue within 5 metres, with full-duplex pickup up to 8 metres in quiet indoor environments. Talk-back from your phone via the Aqara app works through the built-in mic and speaker. Aqara note: don’t test calls next to the camera with your phone — the audio loop between your phone’s mic and the camera’s mic creates whistling interference. Test from a different room.
Storage and recording options
Local microSD recording — up to 512 GB Class 10+
Insert a microSD card (Class 10 or above, up to 512 GB) for local recording. Due to the high bitrate of 4K video, use a high-speed card — lower-speed cards cause recording stutter, dropped frames, or recognition failures. The card is not included. For 24/7 continuous recording, use a high-endurance card (Samsung Pro Endurance, SanDisk High Endurance) — standard consumer cards may wear out under continuous-write workloads.
NAS backup via SD card
NAS transfer is supported — the G350 records locally first, then backs up to a NAS (Network-Attached Storage) on your home network via the SD card path.
End-to-end encrypted cloud — HomeGuardian
Aqara’s HomeGuardian plan provides end-to-end encrypted cloud storage plus Integrated Events. A free trial is automatically activated. Cloud storage is optional — local microSD is sufficient for typical home use.
HomeKit Secure Video (separate path)
Apple Home users can store HKSV-encoded recordings in iCloud (requires iCloud+ plan and an Apple Home hub).
Installation and placement in Singapore homes

Indoor only — not designed for outdoor placement
The G350 is designed for indoor environments. The microphone, speaker, charging port, and pan-tilt gaps are not sealed for waterproofing — no IP65/IP67 protection rating. Recommended placements: living rooms, bedrooms, studies, or enclosed balconies with shelter. Do not deploy in the open — water ingress will damage the motherboard, and outdoor temperature extremes can accelerate component aging or cause system crashes. For outdoor coverage, see the Aqara Camera G100 (IP65) or the Aqara Smart Camera G5 Pro Hub (IP65 outdoor flagship).
Recommended installation height
The recommended installation height is 2–3 metres. Don’t install too high — the overhead viewing angle will reduce person-detection accuracy. Avoid placing strong light sources (windows, lights) in the centre of the frame, which can degrade AI recognition in backlit or extremely dark conditions.
Power — USB-C, 5 V / 2 A
The G350 is powered via USB-C at 5 V / 2 A. The included USB-C to USB-C cable plugs into the camera; you supply a standard 5V/2A USB-C adaptor compatible with Singapore mains (220–240 VAC, 50 Hz). Plan cable routing during placement — wall-mounted positions may need a short trunking run to the nearest outlet.
Heat dissipation
The G350 runs warm to the touch — this is normal. The device simultaneously processes 4K video encoding, dual video stream fusion, and high-compute AI algorithms (face, gesture, and voice recognition running concurrently); the chip operates under high load and dissipates heat through a passive cooling design. The warm exterior indicates internal heat is being dissipated. Do not cover the heat-dissipation vents, and avoid direct sunlight on the device.
