Drives your curtains along a motorised track

The Smart Curtain Motor mounts discreetly at one end of a specialised motorised Aqara curtain track and moves your curtains open or closed. It is built for track curtains — not curtain rods and not roller blinds. The tubular DC motor is rated at 1.2 N·m and moves up to 50 kg at around 14 cm per second, with an intelligent calibration that learns the track length and eases to a gentle stop at each end. And because manual control always works, a light tug on the curtains starts the motor — handy even during a power cut.

Wired power — plan a point near the track

This is a mains-wired motor: it runs on 110 to 220 V at 50/60 Hz and draws 13 W, with a 1-metre power cord (no plug — we can help arrange one). It is not battery-powered, so plan for a power point near the head of the curtain track at installation. With an IP40 rating it is designed for indoor use. If you would rather avoid wiring and clip a driver onto curtains you already have, the battery-powered Aqara Smart Curtain Driver E1 is the alternative.

Smart control through your Aqara hub

The motor connects over Zigbee 3.0 and needs an Aqara Zigbee hub such as the Aqara M2 Hub for app, voice and automation control. Once paired, it works natively in the Aqara Home app and — through a compatible Aqara hub — in Apple Home and Google Home, so you can ask Siri or Google to open the curtains, schedule them around sunrise and sunset, or trigger them from other Aqara devices. It is a Zigbee device rather than a native Matter product; it reaches Matter ecosystems when bridged through a Matter-capable Aqara hub. You can also pair an Aqara wireless remote (sold separately) or use traditional wall switches.

Smart Curtain Motor, Curtain Controller C3, or Curtain Driver E1?

Aqara offers three ways to automate curtains, and it is worth picking the right one. This Smart Curtain Motor (ZNCLDJ11LM, 1.2 N·m / 50 kg, wired) is the entry wired track motor — a dependable workhorse for everyday curtains. The Aqara Curtain Controller C3 is the premium wired track motor, with more torque (2 N·m) and a higher 80 kg load for heavier curtains. The Aqara Smart Curtain Driver E1 is a rechargeable battery driver that clips onto your existing rod or track with no wiring at all. Choose this motor for a wired track install with curtains up to 50 kg, the C3 for heavier curtains, or the E1 when you want to avoid wiring.
